Enjoy a 15 Days Luxury Safari
DAY 1: ARRIVE AT ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT
You will be welcomed by one of the Winners’ Safaris representative at Entebbe international airport, meet and greet after you will be transferred to Protea Hotel Kampala to relax before an Overnight and dinner at the same Hotel.
DAY 2: KAMPALA CITY TOUR
Have a city tour, see Kampala as it is. Visit cultural and historical sites. The Uganda Museum that exhibits our history and culture the Kasubi tombs, where previous Buganda kings were laid to rest, the Namugongo shrines where some of the first Christians were burnt, this evening you will enjoy the culture performance at the Ndere Center with dinner and then you will head to Protea Hotel Kampala for overnight.
DAY 3: KAMPALA- JINJA
After breakfast we shall head to the East with a stopover at Mabira forest; have a light forest walk and some Zip Lining, see the birds before continuing to Jinja (the adventure centre) at the source of the Nile the world’s longest river. Enjoy the beautiful scenery, a boat ride. Dinner and overnight at Source of the Nile Hotel.
DAY 4: ITANDA JINJA
After breakfast, an action packed day at the Itanda falls, activities will be quad biking, water rafting up to grade 5, bungee jumping, cycling, visit the jinja town just look at the beautiful rapids as you relax, it is the day to have fun. Dinner and overnight at Source of the Nile Hotel.
DAY 5: TRANSFER TO MURCHISON NATIONAL PARK
Have an earlier breakfast and depart for Murchison National Park through Kampala, have a stopover at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary for Rhino trekking. The trip is about 8 hours, reach the lodge and get a chance to relax. Overnight and Dinner Chobe Safari Lodge
DAY 6: MURCHISON NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast you will have morning game drive will enable you to see lions, if you are lucky. Your drive will take you across Lake Albert and the Nile Delta where you will see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and giraffes and a lot of bird. You will also visit the top of world’s strongest falls.
Return to the Lodge for Lunch and get a chance to relax before taking a boat cruise in the afternoon. The boat cruise takes about 3 hours and is sighted as the highlight of this trip to Murchison. It allows you to get up-close with the animals; along the stretch of this river are numerous Nile crocodiles. The bird life is also prolific; brightly colored kingfisher along the river banks. This ride will take you all the way to the base of the World’s strongest FALLS. Overnight and Dinner Chobe Safari Lodge
DAY 7: MURCHISON NATIONAL PARK-KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Have an earlier breakfast and depart for Kibale National Park driving throughout the Albertine Escarpment. The panorama drive will take close to 8 hours before arriving in Fort Portal and then proceeding past the Rift Valley’s western arm through the beautiful Ugandan countryside known for its tea plantation. You will arrive in Fort Portal in the afternoon, have lunch and then check into your Hotel. Overnight and Dinner at Mountains of the moon Hotel.
DAY 8: KIBALE NATIONAL PARK & BIGODI SWAMP
Today the forest opens its doors for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. After a hearty lunch we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another, totally different nature walk. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is an initiative of the local community and takes approximately two hours. The swamp is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Dinner and overnight at the Mountains of the moon.
Day 9: KIBALE – QUEEN ELIZABETH
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to elephants, lions, hippos, buffalo and baboons. Participate in game drives this afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. You will be in position to see the elephants, buffaloes and hundreds of hippos, this cruise will definitely be one of the highlights of your safari. Dinner and overnight Mweya Safari Lodge
Day 10: QUEEN ELIZABETH
Set off early on this day to the Ishasha, the southern sector of the park where the tree climbing lions can be viewed. Have a morning game drive; see the lions up close before retiring for lunch. Relax in the afternoon and get a chance to have some time to reflect. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 11: QUEEN ELIZABETH –BWINDI IMPENTRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, Connect to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park. You will have an afternoon village walk, visit the traditional healers, and find out the locals’ way of life. You will have the chance to see a typical homestead. You will also have a performance from the local dance group before dinner and overnight at Silverback Lodge
DAY 12: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
The highlight of your primate safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! For those who love hiking, you will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to predict the number of hours to be spent during this exercise but be ready to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest, here you can be in position to see these incredible, endangered creatures from closer than you ever thought possible. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour and the ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. DAY 13: TRANSFER TO LAKE BUNYONYI UGANDA
Early morning after your breakfast, be ready to transfer to Lake Bunyonyi. The journey will offer you with sights of the beautiful terrain of the rolling hills with terraced landscape. Upon arrival at Bunyonyi, have lunch and later carry out an afternoon boat ride on the lake which will reward you with sights of different birds on the many small islands on the lake. Dinner and overnight in Arcadia Cottages.
DAY 14: BUNYONYI TO KAMPALA
This morning we drive back to Kampala, this takes approximately 8 hours (dependant on some factors). On your way visit the Mpigi Royal Drum Makers and then continue to Cassia Lodge for Lunch, dinner and overnight.
DAY 15: DEPARTURE
Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa, have breakfast and head to Kampala for shopping. Here you will also get a gift from Winners’ Safaris. You will then transfer to Entebbe International airport to connect with your departure flight. Please note the departure flight must be in the afternoon.
