Day 1: ARRIVE ENTEBBE, UGANDA
Welcomed by one of the Winning Safaris representative at Entebbe international airport, meet and greet after you will be transferred to Protea Hotel Entebbe for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Depart Entebbe and fly to Murchison Falls National Park, one of the most scenic spots along the Nile and a park that hosts the world’s strongest falls. It’s the same park that used in the shooting of the classic Humphrey Bogart film, The African Queen. After settling into your lodge on the banks of the Victoria Nile, join your guide for a game drive will enable you to see lions, if you are lucky. Your drive will take you across Lake Albert and the Nile Delta where you will see elephants, buffaloes, antelopes and giraffes and a lot of bird. Overnight and Dinner at Chobe Safari Lodge.
Day 3: MURCHISON FALLS NATIONAL PARK
Today, a game drive takes you along the northern banks of the Nile in the heart of Murchison Falls National Park. You may see giraffes, buffalo, elephants, warthogs, leopards, lions and antelope. You will also get to reach the top of Murchison falls. This afternoon, embark on a boat cruise up the Nile River to the base of the falls. Watch for hippos, crocodiles, elephants and many bird species that inhabit the river’s papyrus-lined banks. Overnight and Dinner at Chobe Safari Lodge
Day 4: KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Fly to Kibale national park. Kibale Forest is home to 11 species of primates, including chimpanzees and mangabeys, as well as 300 species of birds and a vast array of butterflies. Overnight and dinner at Primate Lodge.
Days 5 KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Rise early this morning for the short drive to the start of your chimpanzee trek. The chimpanzees feed high in the trees, so binoculars are a must. Barks of baboons occasionally pierce the forest silence as you make your way along the trail. This afternoon, we transfer to the Bigodi Swamp for another, totally different nature walk. The Bigodi Swamp Walk is an initiative of the local community and takes approximately two hours. The swamp is known for its rich diversity of birds and primates. Overnight and dinner at Primate Lodge.
Day 6: KIBALE -QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
Drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Through Fort Portal and Kasese to Queen Elizabeth National Park, home to elephants, lions, hippos, buffalo and baboons. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 7 QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK
The day begins early as we search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat, before returning for lunch. In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, world’s longest natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George. Dinner and overnight at Mweya Safari Lodge.
Day 8: QUEEN ELIZABETH -BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast head to the Ishasha sector of the Queen Elizabeth and if you are lucky you will be in position to view tree climbing lions before you have your lunch.
After Lunch, fly out of the Rift Valley through the Kigezi Highlands to the mountains of Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most biologically diverse areas in the world.
Days 9-10: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
The highlight of your primate safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! For those who love hiking, you will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to predict the number of hours to be spent during this exercise but be ready to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest, here you can be in position to see these incredible, endangered creatures from closer than you ever thought possible. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour and the ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes. Day 11: BWINDI- ENTEBBE
Fly to Entebbe and transfer to Cassia Lodge, where a dayroom awaits for you to relax as you make a flashback to the first bit of the safari until the next day
Day 12: KAMPALA FOR A CITY TOUR
Visiting a country without visiting its capital isn’t cool at all. Visit the interesting and historical sites around the capital Kampala, including the Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, the Uganda Museum and of course the African Craft Village and here you will pick a gift for yourself from Winners’ Safaris. This evening you will also enjoy the culture performance at the Ndere Center. Overnight at Cassia Lodge.
Day 13: DEPARTURE
Enriched with an experience of a lifetime and unforgettable memories you will say goodbye to the Pearl of Africa. We will transfer you to the airport for your flight back home. We are looking forward to seeing you again! to come and discover more about the Pearl of Africa, There is a lot more undiscovered!!
